We’re better than the best

We may have first started out in decorating, but for the last 50 years, we’ve been painting the plant and tool hire world Bents.

In that time we’ve evolved to become the leading independent plant and tool hire company for the construction, refurb and fit out market, providing plant hire for offices, retail developments and many more sector-wide projects.

Bents is an independent business, with Magnus Bent and Paul Woods taking over the helm in 2001 and transforming Bents into the industry-leading company that it is today. Over the years, we’ve grown from strength-to-strength, which has been highlighted by a move to bigger and better offices, long-serving staff and customers who keep coming back to us for all of their plant and tool hire needs.

From day one, we’ve always prided ourselves on taking a different approach than other plant hire companies; one that’s underpinned by being reliable, responsive, and solidified with our extensive experience. There’s the best, and then there’s Bents best.

That's why we are members of the Hire Association of Europe (HAE) and have been since the very beginning of the business. HAE is a Birmingham-based industry-leading trade body representing plant, tool and equipment hire, of which we follow all of their guidelines and practices.

We are also proud to say that our fleet of vehicles is part of the Fleet Operators Recognition Scheme, meaning that our deliveries and collections are all carried out to the utmost standards.
